Angelica Hale makes history in ‘America’s Got Talent’

Filipino-American singer Angelica Hale, who finished second on “America’s Got Talent” (AGT) in 2017, just made history on the show on Monday (Tuesday in Manila).

For her comeback performance as a contestant of “AGT The Champions,” Hale belted out Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” which earned her a standing ovation from the judges and the live audience.

“Angelica, you are like the little boss lady that you are. You came here to win. I can see that. I can feel that,” said judge Heidi Klum.

Hale went on to become the very first two-time Golden Buzzer when judge Howie Mandel commended her remarkable performance.

“When people show up on this show, the level of competition is much higher. Just by the title, you are amongst champions. You show up and you ripped the ceiling off this theater. That was your fight song and if I can do anything, I am going to help you win this fight,” he told the 11-year-old singer.

Obviously astounded by what just happened, Hale burst into tears and said: “I can’t believe this is actually happening to me. I never expected this to happen. I wanted to thank you so much. This is a dream come true.” (ABS-CBN News)
