Angelica Panganiban called out by police in Rome

ANGELICA Panganiban is currently on vacation in Rome, Italy with a few of her friends to ring in her upcoming birthday on Nov. 4. So, when in Rome, the ABS-CBN star did as the Romans do: She feasted on amazing food and wine, strolled along the cobblestone streets, and visited major Roman landmarks like the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps!

But it seems that Angelica got into a bit of “trouble” while taking a picture in the Spanish Steps. In an Instagram post of Angge casually seated on the Steps, she humorously wrote about being reprimanded by the police, “For almost 28 years, I have been in front of the audience. Naramdaman ko pano mahusgahan. Paano panoorin ang bawat galaw mo. Paano magsalita, lumaban, para sa sarili mo. Sa pag-upo ko sa Spanish Steps…nahusgahan ako…bawal pala umupo dito. Sorry na po mga pulis–at least, naka-isa.”

There’s a new “no sitting” rule on the Spanish Steps! The ban took into effect in August 2019 so as to stop tourists from eating and drinking on the Steps. Those who do not comply with the police can be fined from 250 to 400 euros (P14,000 to P22,700). (Cosmo)
