SAN JOSE, Antique – An illegal drug suspect is spending the last days of Lent in a police station lockup facility.
Ruben Dela Cerna was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mabuyong, Anini-y town.
He sold suspected shabu to an undercover police officer. Two plastic packs of similar substance and P1,120 cash were seized from him.
Dela Cerna is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the Antique Police Provincial Office said.
Officers under the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Anini-y police station Special Drug Enforcement Team and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6 staged the operation around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday./PN
