ANNE THERESE J. KANAAN, graduate of our University of San Agustin, successfully passed the 2024 Board Examinations for Medical Technologist held last August 6 and 7, 2024 at Central College of the Philippines, Manila.
Of the total 5,574 examinees, 3,872 passed the exams.
University of San Agustin garnered an excellent academic achievement of 90.19% Passing Average, as out of this year’s class of 265 graduates, 239 made it.
And as a further boost, worthy of pride and celebration, there were two (2) Board Topnotchers! No. 6 Board Topnotcher is Dovy Galvez Dichoson and No. 8 Board Topnotcher is Khristia Madel Arabaca.
So, congratulations to the new Med.Techs. Your parents, guardians and loved ones, and your prestigious Alma Mater.
Anne Therese J. Kanaan is the daughter of Charles a.k.a. Charlie Fredericke Halim L. Kanaan and Ma. Lourdes Anne Eugenie Jarantilla, prestigious entrepreneurs of commercial buildings leasing space to clients and various businesses in the City of lloilo.
She has an elder sister, Mary Alice J. Kanaan, also a Licensed Physical Therapist.
Her grandparents are Antonio Kanaan, of the iconic American Bazar and Aristocrat Tailoring at then J.M. Basa Street, and Dr. Margarita Lopez-Kanaan, a renowned Obstetrician-Gynecologist with decades of medical practice and Hospital Director of St. Paul’s Hospital, Iloilo City.
Simple and amiable, Anne Therese Iikewise passed the Admission Test for the course of Medicine at the West Visayas State University where she is presently enrolled to further her medical studies.
Only time will tell but with her intellectual acumen, it could safely be predicted that she will one fateful day attach to her Med.Tech. profession the name tag Doctor. I’Il drink to that.
