SAN JOSE, Antique – The Antique Electric Cooperative (Anteco) has issued regular appointments to its 67 employees in compliance with the government’s order to eliminate the end-of-contract scheme.
Anteco manager Engineer Loduvico Lim said they did this to support the “stop endo” campaign of the Department of Labor and Employment.
Antecohas 102 total regular employees in 2017. The number increased to 169 this year.
Among the services that the newly regularized employees render are metering, disconnection jobs and service-dropping, among others.
On the other hand, Lim saidAnteco has a total of 99,658 billed member-consumers with the total power requirement of 22.9 megawatts on peak load.
He reminded the member-consumers to continue observing electricity-saving measures to cushion the anticipated increase in electricity cost due to the implementation of the tax reform law.
Excise tax on coal and diesel and value added tax on transmission charges have impact on the power pricebecausethey are pass-on charges included in the bill of the member-consumers, Lim explained.
Meanwhile, Anteco’s feesfor distribution, supply and metering, and reinvestment fund for sustainable capital expenditures will not increase, according tothe electric cooperative’s information officer Ruth Ann Fadrigo.
Lim urged all member-consumers to pay their dues on time at the Anteco main office, accredited payment centers or banks, or area offices in towns to avoid disconnection fees and other penalties.
Payment online is also accepted. Just log on to epaymentportal.landbank.com.,Anteco added. (With a report from PilarMabaquiao/PIA/PN)
