Antique allows leisure activities in less restrictive quarantine

ANTIQUE – With Antique shifting to General Community Quarantine (GCQ), leisure activities in this province is now allowed.

On Saturday, Oct. 16, Gov. Rhodora Cadiao issued Executive Order No. 187-A approving leisure activities such as swimming, snorkeling, kawa hot bathing, kayaking, and trekking in Department of Tourism (DOT)-accredited resorts.

Also, the operation of accommodation establishments and restaurants is allowed, subject to the guidelines issued by the DOT.

Here are the documents needed for leisure travel.

* Antiqueño tourists – travel pass from barangays/municipal local government unit (LGU) and valid identification card (ID).

* Non-Antiqueño tourists – coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination card and proof of booking reservation issued by the DOT, accredited resort or hotel or travel pass from barangay/municipal LGU of origin.

Here are the other activities allowed:

* Religious gatherings shall be allowed at 50 percent of the venue’s capacity. Gatherings for necrological services, wakes, inurnments, and funerals for those who died of causes other than COVID-19 shall be allowed up to 30 percent of the venue’s capacity for a maximum of five days only.

* Social gatherings in celebration of birthdays, weddings, feast, baptism, thanksgiving and other similar events are temporarily prohibited.

* Meetings, seminars and conferences shall be limited to essential business gatherings at 30 percent of the venue’s capacity. Virtual meeting are highly encouraged.

* The maximum load capacity of Public Utility Vehicles within Antique shall remain at 50 percent.  

* Outdoors non-contact sports and other forms of exercises are allowed within the municipality only.

The following shall not be permitted:

* entertainment venues with live performers such as karaoke bars, clubs, concert halls, theaters and cinemas

* recreational venues such as internet cafes, billiard halls, amusement arcades, bowling allays, and similar venues

* amusement parks or theme parks, fairs/peryas, kid amusement industries such as playgrounds, playroom and kiddie rides

* Outdoor sports courts and venues for contact sports, scrimmages, games or activities

Liquor ban is lifted

* Window time fort the retailing, delivery or selling of liquor in stores, restaurants, restobars, etc. is allowed from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. only.

* Drinking in public places is allowed until 8:30 p.m.

* Restaurants and restobars shall be allowed to operate at 50 percent seating capacity, provided that their karaoke, videoke and live bands shall be temporarily prohibited.

Requirements for returning antiqueños

* Secure a Notice of Coordination and Acceptance from the Municipal Coordinator for returning Antiqueños.

* Secure a negative RT-PCR (reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction) test, provided that the test has been conducted after five days of strict quarantine from the point of origin. Provided further, that the test result was issued not early than three days before travel to the Province of Antique.

Note: Infants and children are also required to secure a negative RT-PCR (OPS/NPS/ Saliva test result).  

Requirement for Authorized Persons Outside of Residence

Authorized Persons Outside of Residence of national government agencies, their attached agencies, and other local government units, travelling official business and coming from places outside of Region 6 shall:

* provide their travel/mission order, travel itinerary and valid ID

* secure a negative RT-PCR result, provided that the test has been conducted after a five-day strict quarantine from the point of origin. Provided further that, the test result was issued not earlier than three days before travel to the Province of Antique

* provide an approved S-Pass Quick Response Code at least two hours before travel to give leeway to the coordinators to process the request

* pass symptom screening at the port of entry/exit or at the Municipal Health Office of the receiving local government unit

Travel outside the Province of Antique

* Travel outside the Province of Antique for provincial government employees – travel pass shall be issued by the Office of the Governor

* Travel outside the Province of Antique for national government personnel assigned in the Province – travel pass shall be issued by their head of office

* Travel outside Antique for self-employed/private APORs – travel pass shall be issued by the Municipal LGU/PN
