TOBIAS FORNIER, Antique – Barangay Cato-ogan is on a 14-day lockdown. It started on Aug. 12.
The village recorded six new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Mayor Jose Maria Fornier ordered the lockdown to avert the spread of COVID-19 on the recommendation of the Municipal Health Office.
He further ordered the following:
* Barangay officials and the Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) shall assist contact tracing teams in identifying the close contacts of COVID-19 positive cases.
* First and second level contacts shall undergo quarantine.
* BHERTs shall monitor the status of COVID-19-positive individuals.
* All residents of the area under lockdown must stay in their homes except for urgent essential travel and medical emergencies. However, essential workers employed in government offices and private establishments as well as farm workers who have no symptoms of COVID-19 are allowed to go out of their residences to work.
* Every household on lockdown shall assign one member of the family to take charge of their emergency purchases and basic necessities within the barangay only. The barangay government unit shall provide the travel pass for the said purpose. Authorized individuals shall be below 65 years old and above 17 years old only.
* Sari-sari stores within the locked down area are permitted to open provided that no member of their household is considered a person under monitoring (PUM) or person under investigation (PUI).
* Households of identified COVID-19-positive individuals shall coordinate with the BHERTs regarding the purchases of their emergency and basic needs.
* Public and private vehicles are allowed to pass by but not allowed to stop or pick-up passengers within the lockdown area.
* Tricycles owned and operated by residents of the locked down area are prohibited from operating within the duration of the lockdown.
* All forms of social gathering such as birthday parties, videoke, drinking sessions and the like are strictly not allowed./PN
