Antique boat trips to Mindoro, Palawan resume

ANTIQUE – Travel via small sea vessels from Antique (Semirara, Caluya, Libertad, and Culasi) to Mindoro and Palawan and vice versa has resumed.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) lifted the gale warning signal over Antique at 5 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29.

Following this, Coast Guard Ensign Marlou Cloma, acting station commander of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Antique, announced the resumption of boat trips.

Earlier on Tuesday, Dec. 27, the coastguard canceled sea travel by small vessels, citing strong to gale-force winds associated with the northeast monsoon.

Fishing boats, other small sea craft, and the seagoing riding public are still advised by the PCG to take precautionary measures./PN
