SAN JOSE, Antique – Gov. Rhodora Cadiao commended President Rodrigo Duterte after he delivered his second State of the Nation Address on Monday.
The Regional Development Council chairperson described Duterte as “someone who assesses concerns that were taken for granted before.”
Duterte knows how to deliver social services to solve poverty, Cadiao said.
She also praised Duterte for his health insurance expansion program. “The poor and the needy won’t have the fear of paying high bills anymore,” she said.
A six-storey building, an added facility to the provincial hospital, will be constructed under Duterte’s Build, Build, Build program, Cadiao added.
The governor said the development projects for sea ports and airports will benefit Antique.
She eyes the revival of the airport in this capital town.
Persons with disabilities (PWDs) benefited from the Department of Labor and Employment’s livelihood programs, said Paulo Castillo, PWD Affairs Office head.
A PWD organization in Bugasong on July received a grant around P1 million to develop their canteen and catering livelihood project.
Joy Vego of the Buenavista Cable said the war on drugs must be continued in Antique. Vego also suggested that the police must intensify their operations. (PNA)
