SAN JOSE, Antique – Starting last Friday, January 14 to 31, the province of Antique is on Alert Level 3 due to the increase of positive cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
To ease the COVID-19 surge, Governor Rhodora Cadio issued an Executive Order (EO) number 001-A, Series of 2022 or An Order Amending Executive Order No. 001, Series of 2022 last January 14 containing the necessary guidelines and measures that Antiqueños should abide and also for the individuals coming into Antique.
The EO contains as follows:
For Returning Antiqueños from areas outside the Provinces of Antique, Aklan, Capiz, Iloilo, and Guimaras shall:
* Secure a notice of coordination and acceptance from the Municipal Coordinator for Returning Antiqueños (MCRA) of the receiving municipal local government unit.
* For persons (including infants and children) who are fully or not fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine, secure a negative RT-PCR test result, provided that the test has been conducted after a five (5) day strict quarantine from the point of origin; provided further, that the test result was issued not earlier than three (3) days before travel to the Province of Antique.
* Provide an approved S-pass quick response (QR) code.
For Authorized Persons Outside of Residence of national government agencies, their attached agencies and other local government units, traveling on official business and coming from places outside of the Province of Antique, Aklan, Capiz, Iloilo, and Guimaras shall:
* Secure a notice of coordination and acceptance from the Municipal Coordinator for Returning Antiqueños if the receiving municipal local government unit.
* For persons (including infants and children) who are fully or not fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine, secure a negative RT-PCR test result, provided that the test has been conducted after a five (5) day strict quarantine from the point of origin; provided further, that the test result was issued not earlier than three (3) days before travel to the Province of Antique.
* Provide an approved S-Pass Quick Response (QR) code.
Antique is still in alert level 2 and here are the things Antiqueños and individuals traveling to the province should know.
* Agencies and instrumentalities of the government shall remain to be fully operational and shall adhere to at least 60 percent on-site capacity while applying work-from-home and other flexible work arrangements.
* Due to the threat of COVID-19 Omicron variant, flag-raising ceremony every Monday shall only be attended by the sponsoring offices/agencies.
* The maximum load capacity of Public Utility Vehicles within the Province of Antique shall be at seventy percent.
*Heavy vehicles weighing more than five tons such as dump trucks carrying quarry resources, delivery trucks, and ten-wheelers shall pass via San Joaquin- Hamtic road because Suragan Bridge along Tiolas- Sinugbuhan road is under repair.
* The use of face shields shall be voluntary. This is rule is without prejudice to the continuing mandatory use of face shields in medical and quarantine facility settings, and the required use thereof by healthcare workers in the healthcare setting.
* Intrazonal and interzonal movement shall be allowed. Provided, that those below eighteen (18) years old, and those belonging to a vulnerable population, shall be allowed access to obtain essential goods and services, or for work in permitted industries and offices by existing labor laws. Individual outdoor exercises shall also be allowed for all ages regardless of comorbidities or vaccination status.
The following establishments and/or activities characterized as high-risk for transmission shall not be allowed to operate, or be undertaken in areas classified under Alert Level 3.
* Face-to-face or in-person classes for basic education, except those previously approved by the IATF-EID and/or the Office of the President.
* Contact sports, except those conducted under bubble-type setup as provided for under relevel guidelines adopted by the IATF-EID.
* Funfairs/peryas and kid amusement industries such as playgrounds, playroom, and kiddie rides.
* Venues with live voice or wind-instrument performers and audiences such as in karaoke bars, clubs, concert halls, and theaters.
* Casinos, horse racing, cockfighting and operation of cockpits, lottery and betting shops, and other gaming establishments.
* Gatherings in residences with individuals not belonging to the same household
*Parades, caravans, and other crowd-drawing activities, and
* Zumba participated by more than ten people or group biking involving more than five bikers.
