ANTIQUE – A total of 450 seedlings of narra tree and 50 bamboo clumps were planted during a bamboo and tree planting activity led by the Antique Police Provincial Office (APPO) in Barangay Aningalan, San Remigio town here last Tuesday morning, Sept. 13.

The activity, that aims to help with environmental protection and alleviate the problem of climate change, was headed by Police Lieutenant Colonel Rowell Buccat, chief of APPO’s Provincial Community Affairs Development Unit, and under the supervision of APPO director Colonel Alexander Mariano.

Among those who participated in the activity were personnel from the San Remigio Municipal Police Station and First Antique Provincial Mobile Force Company.

Other environmental warriors who also joined were the personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, members of Kabataan Kontra Droga At Terorismo (KKDAT)-San Remigio, employees of the local government unit of San Remigio, the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team, Brgy. Aningalan officials, and other members of San Remigio PNP Advocacy Support Groups and force multipliers./PN
