ILOILO City – A new officer-in-charge has been assigned to Antique Police Provincial Office (APPO).

Police Colonel Lea Rose Peña assumed the post during a turnover ceremony presided by Police Regional Office 6 acting director Brigadier General Jack Wanky on Thursday, Feb. 11.

Peña, who was previously assigned to the Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division 6, succeeded former police provincial director, Colonel Rogelio Abran Jr.

Wanky extended his warmest congratulations to Peña.

“My message to everyone is to just do your best in your respective tasks no matter how big or small it is. Work with integrity and develop a culture of excellence. We are here to play our roles in the organization and the success of one is interconnected to the success of others. This is why I also encourage everyone to have a high sense of responsibility. And finally, let us all yield for a peaceful and safer Western Visayas,” Wanky said./PN
