Antiqueño nabbed for ‘illegal gun possession’

SAN JOSE, Antique – He got arrested after police officers found firearms in his house.

Officers from the municipal police station served Rex Salmorin with a search warrant around 11:53 p.m. on Oct. 24.

The court issued the warrant for Salmorin’s alleged violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Recovered from the house were one improvised shotgun and two rifles, a police report showed.

Salmorin – a resident of Barangay Cansadan-Tubudan in this capital town – was detained. PN
