IT’S ELECTION Day. Most registered voters have already made up their minds on who to vote for President so this column is not to convince anyone, rather to make you think on your choice whoever that is.
Obviously, Leni Robredo is not my choice. If we agree, lovely then. If not, it’s really no problem. We are, after all, a democracy. Whatever your choices are, that is your right and I respect that.
It’s not really about Bongbong Marcos. It’s more about ANYBODY BUT Leni Robredo. My vote goes to anybody with the best chance of winning so we can finally be rid of the final vestiges of the “devotees to the cult of the yellow ribbon” now dyed pink .
And it looks like the morning after we’re going to have a new president, and we’re finally rid of the last vestiges of that accursed yellow ribbon now dyed pink.
And we segue to why anybody but Leni.
I’m very much apprehensive that if Leni Robredo wins, the insurgency movement whose backs were broken by the efforts of the Duterte government’s NTF- ELCAC might have renewed strength, bearing in mind she has the tacit support of the NPA/NDFP and all their party-lists in Congress aptly called KABAG – an acronym for Kabataan, Anakpawis, Bayan Muna, Alliance of Concerned Teachers, and Gabriella.
Excerpts from the March 14, 2022 issue of The Manila Times by Rigoberto Tiglao;
THE Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) is supporting and has mobilized its forces to support the presidential bid of Leni Robredo, according to my sources.
They confirmed Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson’s disclosures last week that the communists’ legal fronts have infiltrated Robredo’s campaign organization.
Rather stupidly, a statement by CPP chief information officer Marco Valbuena, posted on the insurgency’s website, cpp.ph, which was intended to deny the allegations of Lacson — whom he called “Duterte’s attack dog” — was all praises for Robredo; in effect, confirming its support for the vice president:
“The Robredo-Pangilinan campaign is proving to be the most formidable electoral challenge to the ruling Duterte clique. So far, it is Robredo’s campaign and rallies which have successfully brought together the broadest array of democratic forces.”
The CPP statement, however, clarified that “neither the CPP nor the NDFP (National Democratic Front of the Philippines) forged any agreement” with the Robredo camp. My sources claimed that the statement is accurate, as the CPP and Robredo’s inner circles are still negotiating how much the CPP will have to be “reimbursed” for its costs in mobilizing its forces for Robredo
The CPP is also demanding that the Robredo camp issue a formal statement that it commits to opening peace talks with the communists, immediately when it assumes power.
Remember that picture of Leni Robredo supposedly waiting for a bus somewhere under the flyover near the Magallanes gasoline station in Makati? It is common knowledge that long haul-buses going to Bicol is station to station, meaning you buy a ticket at the bus terminal and board the bus which, as a rule, does not as pick up passengers along the way.
That picture of Leni Robredo supposedly waiting for a bus to Bicol is a lie. The only purpose for that photo-op is make Filipinos think that even though she’s already the Vice President she’s that simple that she still takes the bus. That it is an insult to the intelligence of the Filipino.
Excerpts from an article in the May 4, 2022 issue of The Manila Times by Rigoberto Tiglao;
Remember that in March 2017, in a video message to a United Nations event, she lied: “We are now looking at some very grim statistics: since July last year, more than 7,000 people have been killed in summary executions.”
That was a shameful, unforgivable lie. The vice president of the Philippines, lying to the world that her own government in just a few months’ time has summarily executed 7,000 people?
At that time, the police reported only 2,555 killed in the anti-drug war: that 7,000 figure was first disseminated by Rappler, another shameless spreader of lies. That website distorted a police report that the total number of those killed — for whatever causes or types of incidents, even domestic violence — from July 1, 2016 to January 2017 was 7,080.
And that disgusting barefoot and “tsinelas” charade, there’s nothing heroic nor noble about the late Jessie Robredo’s penchant for wearing “tsinelas”. According to a very reliable source, when he was DILG Secretary he always takes off his shoes every chance he gets. You see, the man is suffering from a severe case of ingrown toenails. He wasn’t trying to be heroic, just comfortable. So when Leni Robredo promotes the “tsinelas” she’s actually honoring her late husband’s ingrown nails.
That is why ANYBODY BUT LENI./PN
