BACOLOD City – An Authorized Person Outside Residence (APOR) from Cebu was caught with fake pre-entry documents, according to Councilor Ayesha Joy Villaflor, chairman of this city’s task force on the acceptance of APORs.
Based on the documents submitted by the APOR whom Villaflor refused to identify, the specimen was collected on May 31, 2021 around 4:09 p.m. The result was supposedly released on June 1, 2021 at 3:24 a.m.
“Bal-anon nga fake ang iya RT-PCR test result because it was only May 25 when we received the documents,” Villaflor said.
This was not the first time the task force caught fake pre-entry documents. Villaflor warned inbound travelers that their papers were being scrutinized and double-checked with the laboratories that supposedly did the tests.
Villaflor said the task force will file a complaint against the APOR’s company before the Emergency Operations Center here.
Under Republic Act 11332, or the Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act, tampering with documents and records issued by public health authorities is a criminal offense.
Penalties include a P20,000 to P50,000 fine, prison time of one to six months, or both./PN
