GUIMARS – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently turned over farm machineries and agricultural inputs to four agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (ARBOs) in this island province.
The said project was funded under DAR’s Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Program (CRFPS).
The turnover ceremony was led by OIC-PARPO II Lourdes F. Novilla and Arni Sumaylo from DAR Region 6 and Executive Assistant III Glicerio Edang who represented Gov. JC Rahman A. Nava.
The recipient ARBOs received the following:
* Avila Farmers Agrarian Reform Cooperative – four-wheel drive tractor with rotavator and disc flow;
* Cabano Upland Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries’ Association (CUARBA) – one hand tractor with complete implements and trailer, one platform scale, three knapsacks sprayers, 25 spades, and 25 hoes;
* Purok 7 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association of Alaguisoc, Jordan –brand new motorcycle and four power sprays; and
* M. Chavez Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association – feed pellets mill and hammer mill.
The ARBOs also received sustainable livelihood projects and agricultural farm inputs which aim to increase income of beneficiaries by reducing crop production losses in rice and other crops as well as the cost of production./PN
