Arci Muñoz confirmed she’s no longer in a relationship with her non-showbiz boyfriend, businessman Anthony Ng on Friday.
The actress said at a press conference for her upcoming teleserye that the breakup happened two months ago. She didn’t reveal the cause of the split, though, but stated that there’s no third party, that “it’s shallow” and that “maybe it was not the right time.”
On a talk show, Arci was asked about her relationship status. At first, Arci joked that I Belong to the Zoo’s “Sana” should be playing in the background. She proceeded to sing the chorus then broke down in the middle of it: “Sana sinabi mo, para ‘di na umasang may tayo pa—”
Arci was quiet for a good while as she was in tears.
She then said, “I always keep this private life private. I want to keep it that way.”
Arci’s recent Japan trip with her mom fueled speculations her change of status to being single. On Instagram, she posted photos of wooden plaques with their wishes written on it.
Arci wrote “world peace” on hers, while her mom penned, “I wish Mona will [be] blessed with a loving and caring partner in life.”
