ILOILO City – A total of 145 grams of suspected shabu approximately valued at P986,000 were seized from three drug suspects in a drug buy-bust operation on Wednesday night in Barangay So-oc, Arevalo district.
Operatives of the Police Regional Office 6’s Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) caught aliases “John”, 24, of Jalandoni Wilson, City Proper; “Vanessa”, 41 of Barangay San Jose, Arevalo; and “Sony”, 18, of Barangay Sto. Domingo, Arevalo.
RDEU chief Captain Glenn Soliman said also recovered from the suspects was P14,000 in buy-bust money.
He added that Vanessa was previously jailed for illegal drug charges while Sony was imprisoned for theft.
The suspects were now detained at Arevalo Police Station and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2002)./PN
