ILOILO City – A man was arrested for hitting a woman on the head in Barangay Calaparan, Arevalo district.
Police identified him as resident Alfredo Cullo.
According to police investigation, Cullo and Erwena Popelo have a heated argument over the latter’s unpaid debt around 12:45 p.m. on Nov. 7.
This prompted Cullo to hit Popelo with a plastic hanger on the head, police said.
Cullo was detained in the Arevalo police station’s custodial facility./PN
