ILOILO City – A resident of Barangay Sooc, Arevalo district was injured when another man punched him in Mandurriao district.
Jomar Penida, 36, was attacked while on board a motorcycle in Barangay Oñate de Leon at around 6 p.m. Monday, a police report showed.
The police report identified Penida’s attacker as Thirdy Gangoso, a resident of Barangay Oñate de Leon, Mandurriao.
Penida told the police he and companion Martin Caturas, who was driving the motorcycle, were slowing down as they make a turn when Gangoso landed punches on various parts of his body.
Some bystanders fended Gangoso off. The alleged attacker fled to an unknown direction after the incident, stated the report.
Penida sustained bruises and a leg burn caused by contact with the motorcycle’s exhaust pipe, and some of his teeth fell off, the police report showed.
Police advised the complainant to seek medical attention./PN
