Arevalo ‘pushers’ caught

ILOILO City – Two men were caught in an antidrug operation in Barangay Yulo Drive, Arevalo district, a police report showed.

The 26-year-old Charlton Eric Salcedo and 20-year-old Tristan Rey Caños were arrested after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer for P2,200.

Antidrug personnel of the Areval police station staged the sting operation around 2:30 a.m. on Monday.

When frisked, Salcedo and Caños – both residents of Arevalo – yielded seven more sachets of the suspected illegal drugs.

They were detained in the district police station’s lockup facility, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
