ILOILO City – A resident of Zarraga, Iloilo landed in a hospital after he got stabbed over the weekend.
The 38-year-old Paul John Jayawon – resident of Barangay Jalaud Norte, Zarraga – was recuperating at the Iloilo Provincial Hospital in Pototan, Iloilo. He sustained multiple stab wounds on the stomach, police said.
Tagged suspect was 47-year-old Jose Gilbert Somalapao, a resident of Barangay Dawis Sur, Zarraga, Iloilo.
According to police investigation, Somalapao allegedly attacked Jayawon during a heated argument in Barangay Dawis Sur around 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 9.
Responding officers of the municipal police station were able to arrest the suspect. They took him in custody for filing of appropriate charges./PN
