BACOLOD City – Ernesto Saspa Robles had been hiding for nine years, police said.
The 44-year-old arson suspect was finally arrested in Sitio Upper Cawas, Barangay Canlamay, Ilog, Negros Occidental where he also lived.
Officers from the Ilog police station under the officer-in-charge Chief Inspector Norberto Barniso served him a warrant of arrest at around 1 p.m. on July 3.
Robles was detained at the Ilog police station.
Judge Henry Arles (deceased) of the Regional Trial Court Branch 61 in Kabankalan City issued the warrant on Jan. 9, 2009 yet.
The court did not set a bail bond for the temporary liberty of the suspect./PN
