Assumption, San Agustin rule ILOPRISAA elementary athletics

ASSUMPTION Iloilo and University of San Agustin claimed overall titles in the 2018 Iloilo PRISAA Meet elementary girls and boys athletics, respectively.

Assumption dominated elementary girls with 18 gold, 17 silver and two bronze medals, while San Agustin ruled elementary boys with five gold, four silver and two bronze medals on Monday.

Alexis Gwen Lee was the most bemedaled athlete of Assumption with three gold medals in the 800m run, 100m hurdles and 4x400m relay, and a silver in 1500m run.

Maja Jasmine Dionesio took home three gold medals in 4x400m and 4x100m relays and the 200m dash, and a silver in 100m dash, while Christhine Servando had three gold medals in 100m dash and 4x400m and 4x100m relays.

Bien Aelana Gonzales also had three golds in long jump, triple jump and 4x100m relay and a silver medal in 800m run. Tisha Mendoza had two golds in 400m hurdles and 4x400m relay and a silver in 200m dash.

Ainah Therese Fernandez had gold medals in 1500m run and 4x100m relay and a silver in 100m hurdles. Riann Ganzon had a gold in discus throw and a silver medal in javelin throw.

Frances Nicole Fullon had two bronze medals in discus throw and a bronze in javelin throw, while Kim Gorero captured a silver in 4x400m relay.

Meanwhile Chad Kobi Suarnaba led San Agustin in elementary boys athletics with three medals – two golds in long jump and 100m dash and a bronze in 200m dash.

Winning San Agustin’s other golds were Gianni Gaetano in discus throw, Jan Micah Balladres in triple jump and Kurt Lawrence Vipinoza in high jump.

Luis Villanueva had a silver in discus throw and a bronze in javelin throw, while Chad Suerte and Rico Alimonsorin had silvers in javelin throw and triple jump, respectively./PN
