ILOILO City – Ateneo de Iloilo – Santa Maria Catholic School Blue Lady Dragons ruled the 2019 Iloilo Schools Sports Association Meet secondary girls volleyball on Saturday at the Iloilo Doctors College Gym here.
The Blue Lady Dragons’ quest for a third consecutive championship did not came easy. They had to battle back from two sets down to defeat the University of San Agustin in five sets.
Leading the squad were team captain Zehra Nicholle Nones, Reissa Marriene Laurente, Via Pauline Jones Resano, Bianca Chua, Katrina Abigail Chan, Vanessa Marie Diaz, and Ma Robielle Angela Silla.
Also part of the team were Trisha Anne Samson, Therese Althea Maloto, Debbie Marie Montinola, Hannah Therese Jamotillo, Tresha Cortel, Cresha Belle Yasa, and Ashley Jane Denila.
Serving as head coach for the Blue Lady Dragons was Gilbert Danay with Vanlinh Montelibano as assistant.
