Ati-Atihan 2023 ‘generally peaceful’

AKLAN – The Ati-Atihan Festival 2023 was successful and generally peaceful, said Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) director, Brigadier General Leo Francisco.

There were no major incidents from Jan. 6 to 15, according to the region’s top cop.

He attributed the success of the security coverage provided by the Site Task Group-Kalibo Atifest 2023 and its extensive security operations to the deployment of thousands of police personnel and force multipliers who manned the entrances and exits of the festival zones, as well as the establishment of checkpoints and chokepoints.
