BACOLOD City – The city government allocated P10 million for the construction of the Youth Home and renovation of the Social Development Center (SDC).
The Youth Home to be built at the relocation site in Barangay Vista Alegre would separate the male and female children in conflict with the law (CICL), according to City Administrator Pacifico Maghari III.
Presently, CICLs were all accommodated at the SDC in Barangay Taculing.
If completed, the Youth Home would house all male CICLs.
Part of the P10-million budget will be utilized for the major repair of the SDC, added Maghari.
There are currently 30 male and four female CICLs under the custody of the SDC.
CICLs are those who were alleged as, accused of, or adjudged as having committed criminal offenses under Philippine laws./PN
