BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) will conduct a separate investigation after learning that some of individuals listed in a piece of paper found with two severed human hands were city government job orders (JOs).
CADAC coordinator retired Police Colonel Primitivo Tabujara said they were waiting for the documents and reports from the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) before beginning their investigation.
Tabujara said the persons listed would undergo validation, and if evidence suggests illegal drug involvement, the JOs would face disciplinary action.
Tabujara reminded the city government workforce that participation in illegal activities will not be tolerated.
Wednesday last week, authorities recovered two severed human hands in a plastic container with ingredients for a stew, or linâgâ in Barangay 2.
The container also came with a list of 22 individuals allegedly involved in illegal drug activities.
Police Captain Jonito Pastrana of Bacolod City Police Station 2 confirmed there were drug surrenderees listed.
Some of those listed came forward to the authorities, admitting the allegation and asking for help, fearing they could be targeted next.
On Jan. 27, dead fish vendor Henry Paul Bombate, 22, was found hogtied and blindfolded in an empty lot in Barangay Mansilingan.
Bombate, police said, was arrested in 2019 for a drug-related charge and was freed just six months ago./PN
