BACOLOD City – The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) conducted a community emergency response training (CERT) for 61 barangays from Dec. 14 to 16.
CDRRMO head Ana Marie Laarni Pornan said the training educated them on how to be prepared and what to do during calamities.
Recently, the CDRRMO also conducted an earthquake preparedness orientation, a fire safety workshop, and a building earthquake evacuation plan (BEEP) for the management and staff (Disaster Control Group) of the Bacolod Queen of Mercy Hospital.
The orientation aimed to equip hospital personnel with the knowledge and skills on what to do before, during and after an earthquake or fire, and how to protect and save the lives of their valued clients.
It was in compliance with Republic Act 11058, or An Act Strengthening the Occupational Safety and Health Standards./PN
