BACOLOD City – The City Health Office (CHO) here urged everyone to avail themselves of the free flu and pneumonia vaccines.
Dr. Grace Tan, chief of the CHO’s Environmental Sanitation Division, said the free vaccination services are open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. from January 9 to 11 at Ayala Malls Capitol Central Activity Center and Robinsons Place Bacolod-Mandalagan.
“The CHO conducted mall vaccination so that it will be accessible to everyone. Next week the vaccination will also be held in other malls in this city. Non-city residents are also welcome to avail of the vaccines,” Tan said.
Flu vaccines are available for 12 years old and above while pneumonia shots can be availed by 60 years old and above.
Minors must be accompanied by their parent or guardian while senior citizens should present their identification (ID) cards or any valid ID with birth date for validation.
Tan emphasized that they prioritized to administer pneumonia vaccines to senior citizens with comorbidity particularly the dialysis patients.
The vaccines, she added, were provided by the Department of Health./PN
