BACOLOD City – Western Visayas’ No. 3 drug suspect was arrested in Purok 13, Barangay Mandalagan late Tuesday night.
The 34-year-old Jessie Masgong was a resident of Villa Esperanza, Barangay Tangub.
His suspected runner was also caught – 26-year-old Christian Guinanao of Purok Tisa, Barangay 20.
Cops recovered 20 sachets of suspected shabu with a combined weight of 105 grams and valued at P714,000.
The arrests were carried out by operatives of Bacolod City Police Office’s (BCPO) Station 8 and Police Regional Office 6’s Drug Enforcement Group-Special Operations Unit.
According to Police Major Joery Puerto, Police Station 8 commander, Masgong previously operated in Barangay Tangub but he moved to Barangay Mandalagan about a year ago.
He also said Masgong and Guinanao had contact with an inmate – convicted for a drug charge – inside the Bacolod City Jail.
Both Masgong and Guinanao face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
