BACOLOD City – The city government broke ground for the P220-million City Health Office (CHO) complex, a project of the current administration that aims to provide better health services to the city residents.

Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez and Cong. Greg Gasataya led the ceremony with Engr. Loben Ceballos, officer-in-charge of the City Engineer’s Office, in Barangay 20 here yesterday.

Ceballos said the four-storey facility aims to cater all the needs of the clients, adding that it will also have a parking area.

Mamag-ohan gid ni sila kay we incorporate tanan nga kinahanglanon nga mga services sa CHO. Kag ginpalibogan gid ang parking space kay amo na dira nakita ta nga very congested sa lugar,” he said.

With the construction starting soon, Ceballos said the public should brace for the inconvenience it may cause.

He however assured that it would still be “business as usual” at the existing structure as it will not be demolished.

Ceballos added that the parking area of the CHO complex could help decongest traffic flow in the area./PN
