BACOLOD City – The local government has allocated more than P200 million to repair and maintain public schools in this city.

The Local School Board, Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, together with the city accountant, treasurer and budget officer, met yesterday to discuss this.

Benitez said surplus funds from the previous years were realigned.

All of the repairs will pass through the school division heads for them to determine which should be prioritized.

A video of some Rizal Elementary School pupils helping clean the classrooms because of water leaking from the roof when it rains recently circulated on social media.

Indi dapat mga kabataan maglimpyo kay may job orders nga na-assign sa school to do the cleaning,” the city mayor said./PN
