BACOLOD City – This city’s No. 7 most wanted person for the crime of rape was arrested by officers of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) at around 8:02 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, in Mandaluyong City.
Joint operatives of the BCPO’s Intelligence Unit led by Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Benitez Jr. and Police Station 5 (PS5) collared alias “Paulo”, 20, a resident of Barangay Granada, through the strength of a warrant of arrest.
The BCPO said the suspect is also the No. 2 most wanted fugitive in Western Visayas.
The suspect is now under the custody of the PS5 for proper disposition and further legal proceedings.
Following this successful operation, the BCPO said it remains resolute in its commitment to ensuring public safety and bringing fugitives to justice as part of its relentless campaign against crimes.
Meanwhile, from March 3 to 9, the BCPO arrested three most wanted persons and eight other wanted persons.
BCPO data further showed that nine suspects were arrested and over P2 million worth of shabu was seized from eight operations across the city./PN
