BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu valued at around P215,000 was recovered in two separate antidrug operations in this city on Wednesday.
The first operation was conducted in Barangay Banago around 8 p.m. It led to the recovery of four sachets of suspected shabu worth about P65,000, police said.
The suspected drugs were seized from the 25-year-old Diamond Piola, a resident of Barangay Banago.
Piola was nabbed after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer for P500.
Drug paraphernalia and an improvised shotgun loaded with two live bullets were also recovered from the suspect.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit and the Regional Intelligence Division staged the sting operation.
At around 9:30 p.m., officers of Police Station 3 caught the 27-year-old Klint Mark in Barangay Mandalagan.
Recovered from Maiz’s possession were 12 grams of suspected shabu valued at P150,000.
The P500 marked money used in the buy-bust operation was also seized.
Piola and Maiz were detained in Police Station 3. They will be facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
