BACOLOD City – Flower vendors doing business at the public plaza will be relocated within this month, according to City Administrator John Orola.
Orola said they are just waiting for Mayor Evelio Loenardia’s instruction when will the transfer be.
Last month, the city council approved a resolution urging Leonardia to order – through the City Legal Office – the vendors’ relocation.
The relocation will pave the way for the full implementation of the beautification project at the plaza, said Councilor Em Ang, author of the resolution.
There are about 19 flower vendors at the plaza. They will be temporarily transferred to a site behind the Bacolod BAYS Center while the city government is looking for a place where to permanently put them, said Orola.
He added that the City Engineer’s Office will set up kiosks behind the Bacolod BAYS Center which will house the flower vendors./PN
