BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has a new director.
This developed after BCPO director Colonel Henry Biñas was relieved from his post on Monday as part of his career advancement.
According to Biñas, he was reassigned to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group (DEG) in Camp Crame.
His new appointment was contained in a Police Regional Office 6 General Order No. GO-2020-6377.
Designated as acting city director was Police Colonel Manuel Placido from the Civil Security Group based at the National Headquarters of the PNP.
Biñas described his stint as the city top cop here as “overstaying”. He served here for about a year and eight months from January 2019.
He said the work of the city director is very challenging, but he is thankful for the support and cooperation of the Bacolodnons to maintain the peace and order in the city.
Biñas led the BCPO to several accomplishments both operational and administrative.
