Bacolod health office mulls lifting ‘ultra risk’ tag on Purok Bayanihan

BACOLOD City – The City Health Office (CHO) is considering lifting the “ultra risk” tag in Purok Bayanihan, Barangay Banago here.

CHO’s recommendation came after the city’s Patient No. 9, along with 13 of her household contacts, has been discharged from a quarantine facility on Sunday.

Their reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction results came out negative, and they have also completed their 14-day quarantine period.

The patient and all household contacts have been asymptomatic while in the facility.

The patient was a 65-year-old woman from Banago who tested positive last 26 April, 2020.

She had no reported travel history.

Recently, Mayor Evelio Leonardia created the Bacolod City Exit Planning Team to determine how the city will move forward once the enhanced community quarantine ends on April 30.

The body was chaired by Councilor Archie Baribar with executive assistant George Zulueta as vice chairman.

The mayor said the city government is “trying to reconcile and synchronize as much as possible” its actions with the steps taken by the national government./PN
