BACOLOD City – Bacolod Local Government Unit (LGU) will start to vaccinate the coronavirus disease-2019(COVID-19) vaccines for children five to 11 years old on Feb. 14.

The Riverside Medical Center and the mega vaccination sites in some malls in this city will serve as the vaccination centers during the inoculation for the minor’s age group.

Based on the record of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) here there were only 5,000 children in the said age group have been registered.

“This is a lower number, from the total 79,741 target age group,” EOC executive director Em Ang said.

The city will conduct training for the vaccinators in preparation for the new approach to roll out the COVID-19 vaccines for minors.

Doctor Chris Sorongon, deputy for medical and data analysis of the EOC said they will use the Pfizer vaccine for children five to 11 years old and the registration is ongoing.
