Bacolod, NegOcc mulls lifting curfew

BACOLOD City – Officials in this city and the province of Negros Occidental are considering shortening or entirely lifting the curfew hours.

Negros Occidental’s Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson will convene local chief executives to discuss the proposal.

Meanwhile, Bacolod City councilor Archie Baribar, author of the curfew ordinance, said he was open for the same.

Baribar said the Emergency Operations Center and the local Inter-Agency Task Force would also discuss the possibility.

Curfew in 31 cities and municipalities in the province is from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., while Bacolod observes it from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m./PN
