BACOLOD City – Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez called on the city’s Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) to monitor all public parks.
Photos circulating on social media showed a man and a woman sleeping together on a bench at the Bacolod City Public Plaza.
One social media post captioned it: “Aga na, wala pa sila nakabugtaw ya? Damo naman ni mahisa. Sana all!”
During Monday’s press conference, Benitez said sleeping plaza benches should be prohibited.
He added there is a need to develop the Bacolod City Public Plaza and other public plazas, particularly making it well-lighted at night.
The city mayor further said that a lighting consultant is set to visit the city this month to check the lights and to come up with suggestions for the improvement of the plazas./PN
