BACOLOD City – Around 65 grams of suspected shabu valued at P442,000 were seized following a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay 1 here on Thursday night, June 16.
Police identified the suspect as 40-year old Arnel Sitjar, a resident of Purok Kagaykay in the city’s Barangay 2.
Police Station 2 record showed that Sitjar was arrested right after an undercover police officer bought from him 10 plastic sachets of suspected shabu for P129,000.
The suspect was detained at the Police Station 2, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, Police Regional Office 6 director, Police Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, lauded the joint operatives of Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group, Special Operations Unit 6 and Police Station 2 for another accomplishment.
“Maraming salamat sa inyong patuloy na kampanya kontra sa ilegal na droga. Ipagpatuloy at paigtingin pa natin ang ating laban na ito,” Dongbo added./PN
