BACOLOD City – Some residents here were roused from their slumber early yesterday morning by an earthquake.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the 3.2 magnitude earthquake struck at around 2:12 a.m.
The tremor was epicentered six kilometers north of Bacolod City with a depth of 10 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.
Netizens in neighboring towns and cities in Negros Occidental also reported feeling the tremor.
There were no reported damage caused by the earthquake, and PHIVOLCS added in its report that it wasn’t expecting any aftershocks./PN
