BACOLOD City – La Consolacion College – Bacolod (LCC-Bacolod) has expressed sadness over the passing of its alumna Jesusa Purificacion Levy Sonora-Poe, better known by her screen name Susan Roces, on Friday night.
Roces belonged to LCC-Bacolod’s High School Batch of 1956.
LCC-Bacolod said her last visit to their institution was in 2018 when they awarded her with the Centennial Legacy Award for Excellence in Culture and the Arts during the 100th Founding Anniversary of LCC-Bacolod.
Friday night last week, Sen. Grace Poe confirmed the passing of her mother at the age of 80 years old.
Roces passed away due to cardiopulmonary arrest or heart failure, according to her doctor.
Interment will be on Wednesday with the exact time is to be announced soon.
Roces was the widow of action star Fernando Poe Jr., who passed away in December 2004./PN
