BACOLOD City – Bacolodnon baller Paul Barcelona played a huge role for the Asia Pacific team which emerged as title holder of the virtual 2020 Jr. NBA (National Basketball Association) Global Championship boys division.
The squad finished first place in Delly Challenge, second in 300 combo, third in lateral quickness, fourth in two ball burnout and Jeremy Lin challenge, and fifth in basic 10s.
“I am grateful to be part of the 2020 Jr. NBA Global Championship. Representing the country through the Asia Pacific team and winning the championship is a dream come true for me,” said the five-foot-five guard who is an incoming Grade 7 student at St. John’s Institute here.
Barcelona shook this basketball-loving country in 2018 by scoring 114 points during a game here.
