NEGRENSE jin Shaira Isabel Garbanzos will be part of the Philippine taekwondo team that will compete in the World Taekwondo Qualification Tournament from April 6 to 7 and the World Taekwondo Championships from April 9 to 13 in Hammamet, Tunisia.
A native of Bacolod City, Garbanzos belonged to the 16 taekwondo jins who will represent the Filipino delegation.
âI just want to thank the Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA), Grand Master Sung Chon Hong, Cong. Monsour del Rosario, delegation head Igor Mella, coach Alvin Taraya, and to the rest of the people in the PTA who gave me this chance,â she said.
âMy gratitude as well to the parents for their unwavering support to us not just in times of victory but even in moments of defeats that make us stronger and strive harder,â added the University of St. La Salle Bacolod student.
