BACOLOD City – To enhance efficiency, transparency and service delivery, the city government has started digitalizing its asset or property management.
The city government has subscribed to a private firm for the digitalization of the city’s properties.
Atty. Marty Go, Secretary to the Mayor, said that every year the city is submitting an inventory of the city’s properties to the Commission on Audit (COA).
“The inventory of the city’s properties will be made efficient and easier through a digitize system, and it also aligns with the program of Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez for digitalization,” said Go.
He added that digitalization can make monitoring of properties particularly vehicles, furniture and fixtures much easier.
The General Services Office (GSO) is tasked to schedule the conduct of inventory on each city government office.
Another goal of the project is to make the turnover of assets to new administration easier,Go said./PN
