BACOLOD City – The city government has extended the operation of its business one-stop shop (BOSS) for business permit renewals and applications at the Bacolod City Government Center until February 15 of this year.
Stela Rose Rayos, head of the city’s Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), said the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) on Wednesday, January 8, approved a resolution extending the BOSS from January 20 to February 15.
Rayos, however, clarified that only the deadline for filing business permits and licenses for the year 2025 was extended. The 10 percent discount on business tax given to those who will do a one-time payment can only be availed until January 20.
Earlier, acting Mayor El Cid Familiaran requested the SP for the passage of such resolution for the extension of BOSS.
He said there is a need to extend the BOSS until February 15 to accommodate those who are still processing their permits.
The BOSS is implemented by the city government for several years now to promote efficiency, reduce bureaucratic delays, and support entrepreneurs, fostering a more business-friendly environment in the city./PN
