BACOLOD City – The city government’s business one-stop-shop (BOSS) revenue collection this January surpassed its January 2024 collection.
Data from the City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) showed that from January 2 to 20 this year, collection reached P521,217,630.21 – 28.8 percent or P116,797,007.78 higher than the P404,420,622.43 collected in the same period last year.
City treasurer Gary Gecosala attributed the increase to new business registrations.
The business one-stop shop for business permit renewals and applications at the Bacolod City Government Center was extended until February 15.
Meanwhile, Stela Rose Rayos, head of the city’s Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), said that as of January 20, they have registered 15,566 businesses. This is 1.18 percent higher than the 15,384 businesses registered in the same period in 2024.
Rayos added that of the said number, 656 were new business registrations and renewal of business permits reached 14,910.
Last year, the BPLO recorded a total of 24,690 registrations./PN
