
BACOLOD City – A graduate of Bago City College in Bago City, Negros Occidental made it to the roster of topnotchers in the February 2025 Licensure Examination for Criminologists.
Shella Mae Salibio, a resident of Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City settled for No. 9 with a rating of 91.40 percent.
She was the only topnotcher of the said board exam who came from a local college.
BCC produced a total of 142 new registered criminologists.
Meanwhile, the Bago City Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) commended Salibio through Resolution No. 25-166.
The SP recognized Salibio, who graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology, for bringing honor to the city with her excellent performance in the national board examination.
They also expressed their admiration for the topnotcher from BCC, noting that she “serves as a great example and inspiration for other young people to follow in their pursuit of excellence in their chosen fields of endeavor.”
On Wednesday, March 12, Salibio paid a courtesy call to acting mayor Ramon Torres.
She was accompanied by BCC president and administrator, Dr. Deborah Natalia Singson, and Criminology department head Allain Acuña.
Singson said they are proud of Salibio’s achievement, which is a validation of the excellent and quality education being given by the college, especially by the Criminology department, to its students.
She urged other students to take inspiration from Salibio, and continue to aspire and dream big for themselves, their families, and the city as well./PN
